Rotax R-Max Classes

The F1 Championship Karting Series will include an R-Max regional qualifier series with the following 6 classes allowing club members to earn punches for the R-Max Grand Nationals. The following classes will be available and will operate under the same rules as R-Max Challenge. |
Notes (subject to change):
- ENGINE: Dual Seal Requirement to receive RMax punch.
- SPEC TIRES: MOJO D2 4.5/7.1 (Dry) & MOJO W2 4.5/6.0 (Wet)
- FUEL: Spec Fuel – 93 Octane, Motul 800 2T
- EXHAUST: Original, unaltered exhaust header and pipe required
| Micro Max |
Age 7 to 10 |
235 lbs. minimum |
- Mandatory use of Rotax Micro Max package.
- 950 mm chassis maximum and 900 mm minimum wheel base.
- SFI 20.5 Chest Protectors required, shoulder and rib protection recommended.
- Once a competitor moves up to Mini Max they cannot move back down unless mandated by a local race director.
- Spec Class:
- Gear: 14 x 73
- Carburetor: 8.5 insert, 3.6 floats, 60-60 insert jets, k-98 needle.
- Main Jets: As supplied in the kit (115, 118, 120, 122, 125, 128, 130).
- A spec jet may be issued at race official discretion.
- Participant must be 7 years old before competing in an official RMC event. To compete in 2011 USRMC Grand Nationals 8th birthday must be prior to date listed as the official beginning of the 2011 Grand Nationals event.
- Micro Max competitors starting the season within the age guidelines may compete thru the end of the competition year in their respective class.

- Mandatory use of junior cylinder and restrictors as specified by Rotax.
- Maximum wheel base is 1041.4mm or 41 inches.
- SFI 20.5 Chest Protectors required, shoulder and rib protection recommended.
- Spec Class:
- Blue anodized intake restrictor is required
- Gear is 13 x 82
- Local option only: 12 x 76 (if selected, the entire class must use).
- Carburetor: 12.5 insert 5.2 floats, 30-30 insert jets, k-98 needle
- A spec jet may be issued at race official discretion
- Participant must be 8 years old before competing in an official RMC event. To compete in 2011 USRMC Grand Nationals 9th birthday must be prior to date listed as the official beginning of the 2011 Grand Nationals event.
- Mini Max competitors starting the season within the age guidelines may compete thru the end of the competition year in their respective class.

- Mandatory use of a junior cylinder without exhaust valve.
- Competitor must reach the age of 13 during 2011.
- SFI approved Chest Protectors recommended.
- No junior class competitor may attain the actual age of 17-years-old during 2011.
- Carburetor combinations #1 or #2 do apply (as per RMC technical regulations).
- To participate in any of these events the driver must have his/her 13th birthday during 2011 . He/she must have his/her 17th birthday after December 31, 2011.
- Junior class age represents an overlap of eligible participation. Participants between the age of 15 and 16 have a choice of competing in Junior or Senior classes but once participation in the senior class is established competitor will no longer be able to compete as a Junior.

- To participate in any of these events the driver must have his/her 32 birthday during 2011 "or" 16 birthday during 2011 and Driver must be a minimum of 190lbs with normal safety gear as raced without helmet.

- Carburetor combinations #1 or #2 do apply (as per RMC technical regulations).
- To participate in any of these events the driver must have his/her 15th birthday during 2011.
- DD2 drivers reaching the age of 32 during 2011 "or" the age of 16 during 2011 and weighing a minimum of 190lbs with normal safety gear as raced without helmet, may declare to be recognized as a DD2 Master. At the USRMC Grand Nationals and for USRMC National Points the top Master drivers will be recognized separately.
- All DD2 drivers will compete together, there will not be a separate class for DD2 Master.

- In the event that the engine cannot be started on the grid with the onboard starter, an auxiliary starter may be used. In any case, the onboard starter is subject to post race tech inspection to ensure that all components are present & correctly installed.
