When: January 29th, 2011 @ 12:00 pm Where: The Breighton Room @ NJMP
F1 New Jersey at New Jersey Motorsports Park is proud to announce the beginning of our 2011 season will kick off on March 19th, 2011. We would like to thank all of those who have supported us throughout the 2010 season and we hope you all will be joining us in 2011.
In order to ensure that we have another amazing season, we would like to invite all competition karters and their families to our pre-season meeting for the 2011 Championship Karting Series. The input from the racers and their supporters is essential to the creation of a great program. The meeting will take place on January 29th, 2011, at 12:00 noon and will be held at the Breighton Room at NJMP.
The purpose of the pre-season meeting is to establish all of the basics for our program and to allow the participants direct contact and input to the staff of F1NJ. Membership applications will be available at the meeting. Anyone signing up for their membership at the meeting will have their picture taken for their IDs. Finalized schedules will be handed out and there will be a discussion about rain dates and the process that will be taken should a race have to be rescheduled for any reason.
We will also be giving updates on the class structure with emphasis on the Rotax program. A test and tune day with the cooperation of SSC East is planned for Saturday April 2nd, 2011; details will be given at the meeting. Sponsorship renewals and new sponsorship applications will also be available for interested parties.
We hope that you will all join us for this informative and beneficial meeting. We look forward to another amazing season! |

Meeting Notes
- There will be no spec oil for the 2010 season; fuel will be inspected based on the readings from both Motul and Maxima Brand Oils
- The written version of the class structure includes some incorrect weights for the World Formula and TAG Jr classes. These will be corrected immediately and new version provided to members and others interested if necessary. Also, a change will be made to the print version of the membership applications to reflect the correct price regarding Bronze memberships. ($125)
- ½ day practice will apply to both members and non-members at a $35/person cost. It will be held from 9am-1pm or 1pm-5pm each operating day. If you arrive at 11am you will only be allowed to practice until 1pm, unless you pay another $35 for the afternoon session.
- With our arrive and drive or mini grand prix rental sessions, Gold and Silver members receive a discount (based on the package they have purchased) to the entire party joining them on the rental karts.
- Kart storage will be $100 charged on the customer’s credit card monthly.
- Karting members will not receive a discount on our rental Adult League. However, the prices for the league have been reduced to $65/night.
- Sponsorship and contingency plans are in the works for our program. Potential prospects include:
- Bertil Roos has agreed to provide a year end award of a $1500 gift certificate to the overall class champion for TAG Senior Heavy and Shifter to be used for either a single day or three day racing school.
- Compress Air has signed on to be a sponsor for two classes.
- MG and Bridgestone Tires have expressed interest in supporting our contingency program
- Many other sponsors are currently involve in conversations to be a part of our series.
- F1NJ needs volunteers to help with the set-up and tear-down of the WSK & CKI events. The events will be held July 20th-August 1st. Contact Scott if you would like to help out.
- Keep an eye on the website for changes to the racing schedule. Because of the weather we’ve had recently, it may be necessary to change the date of the first race to allow drivers time to practice.
